Slim Jr. - Hounds Begin To Howl - 2006.

Review
The time was the mid fifties. The place was Chicago's South Side and the music being played in the clubs and taverns was the blues. A new kind of blues... it had been electrified. Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson and Elmore James are just a few of the names that were the leading pioneers of the time. It was the 'golden age of the blues'.

Slim Jr. pays homage to some of these fine blues artists with some hits from those Chicago days as well as from their Delta roots. Rick Smith, Larry Spalding and Brian Reed are pleased to share with you their love for this unique American music with an album that stays true to the roots of the blues. Yet, blending two harmonicas, ukulele, slide guitar and vocals, Slim Jr. puts a unique sound on these blues classics.
